This is an old favorite album from the early 1980s (1982, to be exact) that we have on vinyl. Had a song going through my head overnight and sure enough it was from this album. We actually have this same record as a 45. This recording has a special memory for me because when I was in grade school, a few of the 6th graders would spend a day before Christmas, going from classroom to classroom, performing this record as a skit. I know I keep posting SPN Con Panel videos, but gosh I miss the cons! Even though I couldn't go to them anymore even if Covid-19 hadn't happened, I miss our special times with the SPN cast. Been listening to a lot of country music from the 1970s and 1980s and one of the groups I grew up listening to was The Statler Brothers. Much like the Mills Brothers, with beautiful harmonies, I've never heard a song by them that I didn't like. These are 2 favorites. Dig those 1970s suits! :P ( Read more... )
